Dr. Daniel Herman of the Division of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation was recognized with Fellow status on July 25th, 2019 by the International Society of Biomechanics in Sports at their annual conference. This status is reserved for individuals who have made outstanding contributions in biomechanics related to sports over a period of years.
In addition to his award-winning research in this field, Dr. Herman has been an Associate Editor for ISBS’s journal, Sports Biomechanics, since 2014. Dr. Herman became only the 50th Fellow of the society since the first was recognized in 1989, and he is the first physician to attain this status.
