The research projects of three UF PMR faculty were selected as the best of all research submissions to the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (AAPMR) annual meeting 2021 in three categories to produce a strong showing at this venue:
General Rehabilitation: Dr. Heather Vincent, Dr. Kevin Vincent, and Dr. Michael Sein and their presentation titled “Specific Joint Pain Patterns and Muscle Strengthening Activity Predict Four-year Risk for Multiple Falls in Older Adults“.
Musculoskeletal and Sports Medicine: Dr. Heather Vincent, Alexandria Lam, Dr. Sharareh Sharififar, Cong Chen, Candace Powell and Dr. Kevin Vincent and their presentation titled “Psychological Outlook Changes and Impact on Quality of Life Before and After Rehabilitation in Injured Runners: Implications for Rehabilitation Programs.”
Pediatric Rehabilitation: Dr. Heather Vincent, Logan Lentini, Bishoy Abdelmalik, and Dr. Leandra Woolnough and their presentation titled Gait and Physical Function Performance Differences in Children with Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis (JIA) and Healthy Children
