From March 23-March 30, 2025 UF Health Sports Medicine team members, including our PM&R Residents, provided medical care to the World Masters Athletics Indoor Championships (https://wmaci2025.com/). This event, held in Gainesville, FL and in the United States for the first time, attracted close to 4000 athletes aged 35 and older from 99 countries. The Chief Medical Officer for the event was our own Dr Jason Zaremski, Chief of the Division of Sports Medicine and our Outpatient Medical Director. There was close collaboration with the Departments of Community and Family Medicine, Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine, and Emergency Medicine. There were a total of 14 covering physicians and 23 athletic trainers for the event.
