Pramod Kumar, M.D.
Clinical Assistant Professor
About Pramod Kumar
My name is Pramod Kumar, MD, and I am a clinical assistant professor in the University of Florida Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. I earned my medical degree from the University of Calicut in Kerala, India. Following medical school, I completed a residency in orthopaedics and joint replacement at Bombay Hospital in Mumbai, India, and my fellowship in physical medicine and rehabilitation at Montefiore Medical Center in New York.
Prior to joining UF Health, I served as an attending physician at the Spine and Pain Center at St. Mary’s Hospital and Medical Center in Huntington, West Virginia, where I treated patients with complex spine and musculoskeletal pain. My clinical interests revolve around helping patients with back, neck and hip pain. This includes conditions such as degenerative lumbar or cervical spondylosis, disc prolapse, sciatica, and hip and sacroiliac joint pain.
As a physician, my goal is to utilize my expertise and treat all patients with respect, empathy and compassion to help them achieve the highest quality of life. Every patient is unique, and to be able to adequately diagnose and treat them is especially rewarding.
Outside of medicine, I enjoy traveling and trekking to experience the beauty of nature.
