About Matthew Lamagna
I’m Matthew Lamagna, DO, a nonoperative sports medicine specialist at the UF Health Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine Institute. I am board-certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation, along with sports medicine.
I earned my Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine in 2017 from Midwestern University’s Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine in Glendale. I completed my residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at Metropolitan Hospital and Health System in New York, followed by a sports medicine fellowship at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Fayetteville.
I was drawn to sports medicine by a passion for helping others and an interest in functional movement. My goal is to help patients return to their desired level of activity through personalized, collaborative care that treats the whole person. Outside of work, I enjoy attending athletic events and spending time with my wife and son.
