Join a study exploring how Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (CTS) and stroke affect hand strength and muscle activity.
The Department of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at the University of Florida is conducting a study on neuromuscular activation patterns in hand weakness.
Who can join?
- Adults aged 18–75
- With one of the following:
- CTS group – moderate to severe CTS with hand weakness
- Post-stroke group – stroke >6 months ago with weakness in one arm
- Combined group – both CTS and stroke-related weakness
What is involved?
- One visit (~2–3 hours)
- Non-painful surface EMG testing
- Grip and pinch strength tasks
