The University of Florida’s Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Residency Program is approved by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) for four residents per year. Our selection criteria are consistent with ACGME’s specialty-specific requirements as well as the University of Florida College of Medicine’s “Eligibility & Selection of Residents” guidelines.
Applicants for our program must be an M.D. or D.O. candidate who has passed either Step 1 of the United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE) or Level 1 of the Comprehensive Osteopathic Medical Licensing Examination of the United States (COMLEX-USA).
Applicants must also have passed or be scheduled to take Step 2 (USMLE) or Level 2 (COMLEX).
Foreign medical graduates must have a valid ECFMG certificate prior to the application receipt deadline.
Our program is a three-year advanced program. PGY-2 Applications are accepted through ERAS (Electronic Residency Application System).

SLOE Requirements
